The second “Training of Trainers on Hands-on Skills Training Techniques” under the Vocational Education and Training Programme for Employment (VET4JOB-II) was held in İzmir from 21 to 24 September 2026. A total of 61 master trainers and educators completed the four-day training.
The training focused on approaches and methods to help ensure that hands-on skills training provided in workplaces delivers greater benefits and more effective outcomes for apprentice students, businesses and society.
Throughout the training, participants focused on getting to know apprentice students more closely and better understanding their needs. The sessions explored the personality and behavioural characteristics of children and apprentice students from the digital and Generation Z cohorts, as well as their approaches to learning, skills acquisition, education and working life.
The training aimed to support master trainers in establishing more effective communication with apprentice students by taking different generational characteristics and learning styles into account, while contributing to the delivery of higher-quality hands-on skills training in workplaces.
The İzmir training was completed as part of VET4JOB-II’s efforts to strengthen the quality of hands-on skills training and support the professional development of apprentice students.
