Within the scope of the Vocational Education and Training Programme for Employment – Phase II (VET4JOB-II), trainings are being organized for Social Cohesion and Extracurricular Activities Officers working in Vocational Training Centres (VTCs) to enhance the quality of social cohesion activities implemented across 14 provinces.
The first session of the training was held in Gaziantep on 20–21 October 2025, with the participation of 46 representatives from 23 VTCs across eight provinces (Gaziantep, Adana, Hatay, Kahramanmaraş, Mersin, Osmaniye, Kayseri, and Şanlıurfa).
The opening remarks were delivered by Mustafa GÜNAY, Head of the Department of Social Partners and Projects at the Directorate General for Vocational and Technical Education, Ministry of National Education. In his address, GÜNAY emphasized the importance of social cohesion within the VET4JOB-II Programme and highlighted its contribution to both individual and societal development. Ismain AMNAÏY, Deputy Team Leader of VET4JOB-II, presented the objectives of the training and underlined the key principles of social cohesion activities, including participation, equality and non-discrimination, collaboration, inclusiveness, and empowerment.
The training agenda included sessions on participatory culture, communication and empathy, procurement procedures in social cohesion activities, social cohesion activities: what they are and what they are not, and group work on the theoretical and practical aspects of the Football3 methodology. On the second day, all participants had the opportunity to experience the Football3 activity on the field.
The training programme aims to strengthen the quality of social cohesion activities carried out in schools and contribute to empowering young people to grow stronger together.
