Within the scope of the Vocational Education Training Programme for Employment – VET4JOB-II, which is funded by the European Union and implemented by Expertise France, a three-day face-to-face training for outreach teams was successfully held in Adana.
The opening speech of the training was delivered by Yusuf Tüfekçi, Director of Adana Provincial National Education. Organized between 24–26 June 2025, the training brought together outreach team members from 44 vocational training centres operating across 14 provinces in Türkiye. The primary aim of the training was to improve the quality of outreach activities, support the fieldwork of the teams, and establish a common methodology.
The training programme covered various topics, including the referral of children and youth under temporary and international protection, as well as out-of-school individuals, to education; protection-based approaches; strategic planning; mapping; and communication skills. Field-oriented competencies were reinforced through practical sessions and scenario-based workshops.
Participants committed to disseminating the knowledge and experience gained in their respective institutions and to developing sustainable outreach models. In the evaluation sessions held at the end of the training, the importance of capacity development at both individual and institutional levels was emphasized.
Outreach activities carried out under VET4JOB-II will continue to contribute to the fight against child labour, the expansion of vocational education opportunities, and the strengthening of social cohesion.
