As part of the Vocational Education and Training Programme for Employment (VET4JOB-II), the “Training of Trainers on On-the-Job Skills Training Techniques” was held in İzmir from 17 to 20 August 2026. A total of 70 master trainers participated in the training.
The training programme aimed to contribute to making skills training provided in enterprises more effective and efficient, ensuring greater benefits for apprentice students, enterprises and society.
Throughout the training, participants gained knowledge and awareness of the personal and behavioural characteristics of apprentice students from the digital and Generation Z cohorts, as well as their approaches to skills acquisition, education and working life. The programme also included sessions and activities designed to help master trainers better understand apprentice students, their needs and learning styles, and to manage training processes in enterprises more effectively in line with these needs.
The training concluded with practical activities aimed at enabling master trainers to build stronger and healthier communication with apprentice students, improve the quality of skills training provided in enterprises, and more effectively support young people’s vocational development.
