The second phase of the Project Teams Training, one of the key activities of the Vocational Education and Training for Employment Programme (VET4JOB-II), was successfully held in İzmir from 5–7 August 2025.
Planned in three groups, the second group of this training brought together around 100 participants, including managers and teachers from vocational training centres representing 14 different provinces. The programme began with an opening speech by Mustafa GÜNAY, Head of the Department of Social Partners and Projects at the Directorate General for Vocational and Technical Education of the Ministry of National Education, followed by a speech on VET4JOB-II by Ismain AMNAIY, Deputy Team Leader of the VET4JOB-II team at Expertise France.
The training aimed to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of the main components of VET4JOB-II, including combating child labour, improving the quality of apprenticeship training, access and risk prevention strategies, social cohesion, inclusiveness, student support, and institutional capacity building. The programme was enriched with a panel session on programme components by experts, case studies, examples of practice linked to core principles, institutional SWOT analysis, and strategic evaluation sessions. Participants had the opportunity to share field-based experiences with VET4JOB-II experts and to reflect on and discuss practical strategies that can be applied in their own institutions.
